AACSR Conductor
The AACSR conductor is composed of a central steel core surrounded by one or more layers of aluminum alloy strands.
Construction
- Conductor
- Zinc-coated steel wires, one or multi-wire concentric stranded, aluminum alloy wires, concentrically stranded.
Application
AACSR conductors are known for their high strength-to-weight ratio, which allows for longer spans between towers and reduces the number of support structures required. This makes them cost-effective for transmission lines that need to cover large distances or cross difficult terrain.
Feature
AACSR conductors have good electrical conductivity and mechanical strength with high strength-to-weight ratio. Aluminum stranded wire has better corrosion resistance and is easier to install and maintain.
