Application and Design
These power cables are the new generation of cables forpublic medium voltage distribution–HTA. Used for direct installation on the ground, water, outdoors, indoors and in cable ducts.
The cable is made of 1 or 3 bunched cores. Aluminium screen is made to ground short-circuit currents of EdF network, up to 1000 A for 1 s for underground networks. They are AD7 following NF C 13-200 with a water pressure < 0,2 bar.

1 Conductor : Aluminum or copper, class 2,circular compacted conductors
2 Conductor screen: Non-metallic,semi-conducting compound
3 Insulation:Cross-linked polyethylene(XLPE)
4 Insulation screen:Non-metallic,semi-conducting compound,extruded strippable grooved elastomer
5 Longitudinal water tightness: Swelling powder
6 Metallic screen: Aluminium plastic tape (AL/PET)
7 Outer sheath: Polyethylene (PE) - Specification
